This is a landscape dominated by the water. In centuries gone by, like today, we travel across it, we use it to farm the land and we enjoy it for leisure. The salt water and fresh water form a unique habitat for the nature that we share the landscape with.

The ‘Watery Treasures’ resources will allow students to:

• Produce a short animation about the Severn, with a basic camera, set and free software
• Learn to identify the birds which live on and migrate to the Severn estuary
• Study the river Severn itself, and its two magnificent bridges
